About us

Destination Goulburn Valley is the new identity for Tourism Greater Shepparton (TGS). We have been championing Shepparton, our small towns, and our tourism and hospitality operators since the voluntary board's formation some 20 years ago. We’re a passionate group of professionals committed to welcoming visitors, increasing their length of stay and supporting our regional economy.

Our why?

Experience tells us that memorable visitor experiences are not defined by local government boundaries.

We are an independent advocate for the Goulburn Valley to be recognised as a visitor destination.

We seek and enable collaborative opportunities with local businesses regional communities, community champions and government agencies.

We are motivated by our desire to gain formal access to the Victorian Visitor Economy Framework* and to elevate the Goulburn Valley as a must-experience destination.

Seasoned – a tasting trail for the Goulburn Valley – was imagined in collaboration by tourism operators and producers working together to share our stories, encourage visitors to explore the unexpected, meet the makers and support the producers of our region. Seasoned was made possible through the dedication of volunteers in partnership with our supporters and suppliers.

Seasoned’s purpose is to connect visitors to the rich food story of our region and to sample a taste of what we have to offer. We hope Seasoned inspires you to stay a while longer, meet our makers, sample something new and take home some of the tastes and tales of the Goulburn Valley.
