Mooroopna Bakery

The Honig family has been baking in Mooroopna since 2005, building a busy business from scratch on the main street of Mooroopna.

The bakery and tea room are always busy with customers coming in for freshly-iced doughnuts, the famous chicken parma pastie, and some award-winning hot cross buns at Easter.

The Honigs haven’t put their pies into competition for a few years due to Covid but are re-entering the comp fray in 2023, hoping to take out a swag of national awards as they have done in the past with their beautifully-made meat pie. “It comes down to quality, patience and perfection,” says Sue Honig, who runs the front of house. “We also use the best local beef.”
